Jennifer Koster

Co-Founder and CEO

Jennifer Koster is a multidisciplinary serial entrepreneur with over 20 years global experience spanning technology, management consulting, construction and development. As Founder and CEO of WerkWell, she oversees a vertically integrated platform that leverages innovations to deliver high-performing projects. 

A systems-based thinker, Jennifer is skilled in managing complexity, de-risking projects, and scaling innovative solutions. Her ability to operationalize innovation and align stakeholder objectives have made her a trusted partner to the developers, public agencies and investors we collaborate with. She spends most of her time traveling the globe expanding the WerkWell presence and can often be found speaking on stage sharing her expertise and knowledge.

She is based in the Netherlands, speaks 4 languages and is an avid runner and cyclist.

Bence Boros

Co-Founder and Project Coordinator

Bence (Ben) Boros is experienced in all facets of construction from the field and estimating to construction management.  With a deep understanding of the project lifecycle, he works behind the scenes actively finding opportunities to streamline project. He began as a laborer in Chicago working on some of the most luxurious residential projects in the region and evolved into estimating and project management for a high-end residential contractor in Los Angeles.

Preferring to work behind the scenes, Ben specializes in all things numbers related, subcontractor relations, procurement, and progress tracking for our residential projects team. He is known for his reliability and attention to detail and ensures project scope, timeline, and cost are aligned from kickoff to closeout. His leadership has been instrumental in guiding WerkWell’s operational excellence.

Ben is based in the Netherlands, speaks Hungarian and can otherwise be found in the gym.

Christiana Kyrillou

Director of Growth and Development

Christiana Kyrillou is an award-winning architect with over two decades of experience designing ecologically and socially impactful projects. A former Principal at Woods Bagot Los Angeles, Christiana now leads growth and development for WerkWell, ensuring every project meets the highest standards in sustainable design, resilience, and equity. Her work spans master planning, resilient infrastructure and community-scale innovation, leading the design and execution of award-winning projects ranging from mixed-use, workforce multifamily housing to climate-adaptive infrastructure, while advising on how to embed regeneration at the core. 

Holding a Master of Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional Certificate, Christiana brings systems-level thinking to community-scale development. Her ability to translate complex goals into buildable frameworks supports WerkWell’s mission to create places that foster health, inclusion, and long-term performance. A former Principal at Woods Bagot Architects in Los Angeles, she now leads growth and development for WerkWell. 

Christiana is based in Los Angeles, speaks Greek and actively keeps track of industry developments. 

Mark Hurst

Business Development & Innovations Lead

Mark Hurst is a technology strategist and proptech expert with 20+ years of experience at the intersection of real estate, analytics, and digital transformation. A former executive at HouseCanary and Deem, Mark has a track record of working with startups to operationalize innovation across the built environment. 

At WerkWell, Mark leads the identification and integration of cutting-edge technologies, including smart building systems, digital infrastructure, and climate resilient products, ensuring our methods, materials, and design continuously evolve to deliver high-performing projects. For our innovations group, Mark acts as a bridge between solutions and potential projects supporting initial feasibility and determining results-based alignment. 

Mark is based in San Francisco and is the host of the PropTech Espresso podcast. 

Alex Slors

Director of Hospitality Projects

Alex Slors is a global hospitality strategist with more than 35 years of experience in operations, finance, and asset management. Having worked with brands like Le Meridien, Four Seasons, and the Dorchester Collection, he brings operational depth and financial discipline to WerkWell’s hospitality and mixed-use ventures. His advisory work has supported leading hotel developers, institutional investors, and operators across Europe, Asia, and Africa.

As WekWell’s hospitality lead, Alex structures financially sound hospitality platforms that also deliver wellness and environmental impact. He is a recognized educator and mentor in hotel development and currently serves as Program Director for Glion’s Master’s in Real Estate, Finance, and Hotel Development. His expertise strengthens WerkWell’s ability to deliver guest-driven, ROI-positive hospitality projects.

Alex is based in London and teaches Real Estate, Finance and Hotel Development at the Glion Institute.

Victoria Connell

Director of Market Development & Partnerships

Victoria Connell is a business development strategist with more than 20 years of experience driving growth, partnerships, and brand engagement across the architecture, engineering, and construction sectors. She is recognized for building strong client relationships and structuring collaborative initiatives that expand market opportunities. She most recently led West Coast Development for Buro Happold, collaborating with WerkWell to host the (re)Building with Resilience symposium after the Palisades and Eaton wildfires in January 2025 where she brought together public and private sector leaders, industry executives and community members to accelerate wildfire-resilient and climate-adaptive solutions.

Today, Victoria leads national partnership development and business development for WerkWell, seeking collaborations where our knowledge and innovations can add value while supporting our construction management team to identify new projects.

Victoria is based in Los Angeles.

Uwe Schuller

Business Development, DACH Region

Uwe Schuller is a construction expert with over 30 years of international experience in sustainable building systems, off-site manufacturing, and high-end residential & hospitality construction. His work spans traditional carpentry, sustainable FF&E, brand & event activations, modern mass timber, Passive House, renewables systems integration and modular innovation across Europe and North America.  

As business development lead for the DACH region, Uwe focuses on identifying and engaging innovative companies seeking expansion into the US market whose solutions can add value to WerkWell Projects. brand positioning, stakeholder engagement, and project activation. His technical depth, intracultural communication skills and mission-driven approach to market entry help European-built innovations gain focused traction in the American market.  

Uwe is based in Denver, Colorado.

Karla Silva

Public Relations/Business Development

Karla Silva is a business development strategist and sustainability advocate with deep expertise in forging cross-border partnerships that advance environmentally and socially responsible real estate. As Founder and President of Monarks Strategic Alliances, she connects capital, innovation, and policy to catalyze ESG-aligned development across California, Mexico, and Latin America. Karla’s background includes advising governments and private clients on circular economy frameworks, LEED-compliant planning, and international investment strategy.

At WerkWell, Karla leads business development and partner relations across the Americas, leveraging her bicultural fluency and vast network to align mission-driven stakeholders with scalable real estate solutions. She has held senior liaison roles for the Netherlands government and serves as California State Representative for AMAR (Asociación Mexicana de Asistencia en el Retiro). Actively engaged in organizations such as the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce and California Hispanic Chamber, Karla bridges public-private collaboration with boots-on-the-ground impact.

Karla is based in Los Angeles and works back and forth between Mexico and the US.

Niklas Ekholm

Over 10 years’ work experience and in-depth knowledge in developing and maintaining a functioning IT Service Desk in different challenging environments. Niklas fills the teams IT management role.

Niklas is responsible for overseeing technical operations and infrastructure for WerkWell as well as ensuring secure environments for proprietary client information.

Niklas works remotely and spends time between his native Finland, Spain and the Netherlands.

Jo Petroni

development director

Jo Petroni is an architect with 15 years of experience in high-end residential construction, sustainable design, and building performance. She leads resilience and design strategy at WerkWell, bringing clients the technical depth to make informed decisions before they become expensive ones.

Kristen McAvoy

Head of marketing & public relations

Kristen leads U.S. and international market‑entry strategy, guiding companies through brand readiness, digital optimization, and go‑to‑market activation. She manages all aspects of marketing and public relations, including media strategy, thought leadership development, social content ecosystems, and executive visibility. With a background spanning marketing strategy, content design, website development, SEO, and narrative positioning, and innovative technologies, she specializes in translating complex ideas into accessible, high‑impact messaging that resonates with diverse audiences.

She oversees brand alignment, digital ecosystem audits, content strategy, and market‑specific messaging for both WerkWell and Innovations clients after U.S. market entry—ensuring every touchpoint reflects clarity, credibility, and intentional design.

Kristen is originally from the U.S. but resides in the Netherlands where she works remotely.
